Danish international Christian Eriksen was invited to the European Championships final in London by UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin a few weeks after his collapse in the game against Finland. Accordingly, Ceferin asked the 29-year-old and his wife. Eriksen had suffered cardiac arrest and had a defibrillator implanted in the hospital. It is not yet clear whether Eriksen will accept the invitation. “It would be great if he could come to our final,” said Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand at the pre-match press conference.
